About Modeliks

The origins!

I founded Modeliks after 20 years of exciting, and somewhat painful, experience in business planning and fundraising.

It certainly was exciting. Winning the trust, and money, of investors is truly rewarding experience. Investors are some of the smartest and most impatient people I have ever met. They get bombarded with investment opportunities and usually invest in 1 out of 100 businesses that pitch to them. Some venture capital funds invest in 1 out of 300 investment opportunities they see.  So getting one of them to invest in you, is not easy, but it’s is super exciting.

I have raised multi million dollar funds for businesses I have founded, including Modeliks, As a consultant, I helped clients plan and raise funds for their businesses. In my business development days, I obtained investments for more than 100 projects worth over USD 400 million. Every single job I have ever done, it required me to prepare a business plan and pitch it to someone.

Now I come to the painful part. Every single pitch deck, business plan and financial model I ever created, was started from scratch. It took my capable and extremely hard working teams between 1 and 3 months to complete. If my team were not experts in business planning, creating a professional plan would have been very difficult.  It was painful to work 14 hour days, for few weeks, just to build a financial model in excel, define the pitch deck structure, identify the required information and design the slides.  Only after all this was done, and a month was lost, we could start filling information about the project in question.

So, I decided to create Modeliks. A business and financial planning software that allows anyone to create an investor ready business plan. The design philosophy for Modeliks was “Keep it as simple as possible, but not simpler. Our clients want to create a professional and fundable business plan. Not just a plan.”.

I promise three things to Modeliks subscribers:
